It detects and measures gas ranges that span from 0 – 10 000 PPM (part per million). A further significant improvement from the previous Metrex models is the feature to capture, and datalog surveyed data to the ProSoft by QED mains gas compliance reporting software. This data transfer can be via the ATEX integrated Bluetooth data transfer or USB to PC. ATEX certified (II 2 G Ex db ib IIB T4 Gb), including EN 60079-29-1 performance, the new METREX has been classified to be safely operated in designated hazardous locations. Unlike traditional flame ionisation detectors, the new METREX does not require, for example, heavy fuel calibration gas cylinders to needs to be carried by the operator while doing gas network surveys.
